SpiderVPN

Connect

Open your local SpiderVPN router setup

Use SpiderVPN Connect to reach your local router setup page from the device already connected to the router.

Before you start

Local setup happens on your home network

Wi-Fi setup

Join the router Wi-Fi shown on the label or setup card, then open the local admin page.

Wired setup

If Wi-Fi is unavailable, connect by Ethernet and open the router local address from the connected device.

Custom gateways

If the router was already customized, use your device gateway address or ask support to confirm the model-specific path.

Local router setup

Connect to your SpiderVPN router first

This page does not scan your network or automatically contact private router addresses. Join the router Wi-Fi or plug in by Ethernet, then open the local admin page yourself.

  1. 1Connect your phone or computer to the SpiderVPN router Wi-Fi, or use an Ethernet cable.
  2. 2Open the matching local admin address below in a new tab.
  3. 3If neither address opens, check the router label or your device gateway address, then contact support with the model name.

Open SpiderVPN or GL.iNet admin

http://192.168.8.1

Common GL.iNet local address after connecting to the router Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

Open OpenWrt admin

http://192.168.1.1

Common OpenWrt and Linksys/OpenWrt local address on a new or reset router.

Try OpenWrt over HTTPS

https://192.168.1.1

Use this if HTTPS was configured on your local router.

If the local page does not open

Use your gateway address

If the default address was changed, open the Gateway or Router IP shown by your phone, tablet, or computer for the current Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.

Check router mode

Access Point, extender, or WDS mode can make the router use an address assigned by the upstream network instead of the default local address.

Reduce connection conflicts

If the page still will not open, try an incognito browser window and temporarily disable VPN, proxy, or mobile-data fallback while you are connected to the router.
