Delete your SpiderVPN account
You can ask us to delete your SpiderVPN account and your personal data at any time. This page explains how to ask, what happens next, and the few records we must keep.
How to ask
Ask us to delete your account
- In your account: sign in, then open spidervpn.org/billing/account/delete and send the request.
- By email: write to [email protected] from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it.
Before you delete
Cancel store subscriptions first
- If you subscribed in the App Store, Google Play or the Amazon Appstore, cancel in that store first. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription, and we cannot cancel it for you.
- App Store: cancel in your App Store account settings. Google Play: cancel in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions.
- If you ordered a router that has not shipped yet, contact support instead of deleting your account yourself.
What happens next
We confirm by email, then delete your account
- Our support team handles each request. We reply by email from support to confirm it is really you, and we complete the deletion within one month of your request, as data protection law requires.
- When we delete your account, you are signed out on all devices, your VPN access stops, your devices are removed and your SpiderVPN subscription is cancelled.
- Unpaid invoices are cancelled. Any unused credit on your account is lost.
- After your account is deleted, you can sign up again with the same email address.
What we keep
Records we must keep
- Invoices and payment records, including the messages our payment providers send us about your payments: 6 years from the end of the company financial year they relate to, as company and tax law requires. We remove the rest of your account’s personal details.
- Backups: deleted data can stay in our backups for up to 30 days.
- Other records follow the periods in our Privacy Policy, which also explains your other rights.
